Cahokia Public Library District Meeting Room Guidelines
The following guidelines apply to meeting room use:
The meeting room applicant, whether an individual or member of a group/organization in which the applicant represents, shall be jointly and severally liable for any breakage, damage or theft of any Library property caused by members or guests of the individual/group/organization.
Since the applicant is one of the responsible parties for use of the room, their attendance is required for the entirety of the meeting room use.
If a cancellation of the meeting room is necessary, the Library should be notified promptly.
All meetings shall be open to the public. However, there is no obligation of the individual/group/organization to notify the public of the meeting or make any specification in any manner that it is open to the public.

No admission fees shall be charged by an individual/group/organization for their meeting.

Smoking and/or alcohol is prohibited in the meeting room as it is in the Library.
Permission to use the meeting room does not constitute endorsement of the subject matter of the meeting, or the individual/group/organization’s beliefs and policies. As a result, publicity on non-Library sponsored meetings must in no way imply Library sponsorship.
Any individual, group, or organization using the meeting room may not use the Library's mailing address or phone number as their own.

No equipment or materials may be stored in the Library, except on a temporary basis with the Library Director’s permission granted beforehand.
The Library is not responsible for the loss or damage to any equipment or materials owned or rented by the individual, group, or organization meeting in the Library.
Nothing may be attached to the walls or ceiling of the meeting room.
