Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who Can Get a Card
Library borrowers' cards may be obtained by filling out an application at the library circulation desk. For adults, two forms of identation with current address is required. For minors (under age 18) a parental signature is required in addition to identification with current address for the minor and his parent/guardian.
Resident borrowers' cards are provided to those living within the corporate limits of the Village of Cahokia. Resident cards are valid for two years.
Non-residence fees
Fees for non-resident cards are $53.00 per year.
Borrowing Policies
Loans of books, audio recordings and periodicals are made for 14 days.
Loans of video recordings and DVDs are made for 7 days.
Limitations on the number of items charged per borrower's card are:

Library Fines
Overdue fines are charged at the rate of 5 cents per day for books, audio books, and periodicals. Maximum fines are the list price of the item plus a $1.00 Processing Fee.
Overdue fines for videos and DVDs are charged at the rate of $1.00 per day. Maximum fines are the list price of the item plus a $5.00 Processing Fee.
